OVERVIEW

Client

For this project, I set out to identify a local brand in need of a visual refresh. I wanted to highlight the powerful relationship between illustration and design - and how, when thoughtfully combined, they can elevate a brand and help it stand out.

I chose Soet Tand, a local confectionery brand with a rich heritage. My aim was to reimagine their identity using bold colours and modern design elements to help bring the brand into the 21st century.


The Process

I began with extensive visual research, exploring all existing brand touchpoints of Soet Tand in the market. I also studied shelf presence at my local store to understand the competitive landscape, what stands out and what gets overlooked.

From there, I moved into rough sketches, concept development, and colour palette exploration. Once the direction was clear, I brought the label design to life using Adobe Creative Suite, carefully blending illustration and design to create a unique, contemporary look.

The Solution

The refreshed brand now feels cohesive, modern, and flexible—with a suite of visual elements that can be applied across multiple touch points, strengthening brand recognition.

This project illustrates the importance of staying relevant and how a well-executed visual refresh can help a brand compete more confidently in today’s market.
